Our Fusion® transponders support IAG and/or TDMA
protocols to accommodate users desiring both lane-based
or open road toll (ORT) collection and other applications
such as weigh station electronic screening. Mounted
on the interior of most cars and trucks, Fusion transponders
provide "V6" TDMA and optionally, IAG active
Type II read/write protocol support. Information is
transmitted in either 256 or 512 bit packets at a rate
of 500 kbps, depending on the mode of use. Public ID
encryption is available for the TDMA protocol and a
low battery warning is available, subject to the use
of corresponding MARK IV Fusion® Reader equipment.
More than one million MARK IV Fusion® transponders
have been used for highway speed, open road transactions.
The CVO version of the Fusion® transponder is designed
with a buzzer and three LEDs, configured with a signal
flashing sequence recommended by the CVO Interoperability
Committee of ITS America for use on all North American
weigh station bypass, e-screening and CVISN programs,
including PrePass Plustm and NORPASS. State run CVISN
programs in New York and Maryland also use Fusion®
CVO transponders. |
