Ask anyone. The Badger Reader is a technology breakthrough in electronic toll collection deployments where reliable and accurate open road toll and other highway speed applications are essential for maintaining smooth traffic flow. The Badger reader's tightly engineered synchronization allows system integrators and operators to deploy multiple Badger readers in close proximity, without having to worry about mutual radio interference. Selected for applications at toll facilities in Illinois, New Jersey, Delaware and Virginia because of its unique "voting logic," Badger accurately captures high-speed transactions within high-volume applications. The Badger reader supports up to 8 lane-based antennas, or 4 antennas for high speed express lanes. It is also available in a fully redundant configuration, in order to provide the highest possible uptime.
Badger readers have enabled the first 5-lane (plus shoulders) open road toll site in North America, at the Raritan South Toll Plaza on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey. |
